Forever Plaid
Forever Plaid
by Stuart Ross
FOREVER PLAID The group died in a car crash in 1964 on their way to their first real gig. Their vehicle was hit by a bus carrying a group of catholic school girls on their way to see the first appearance of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in NYC. The girls were not injured, but the Plaids died instantly while rehearsing "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing" in their 1954 Mercury. It is a hilariously charming musical perfect for the entire family. "The Plaids" sing some of the greatest hits including "Three Coins in the Fountain," "Undecided," "Gotta Be This or That," "Moments to Remember," "Crazy 'Bout Ya, Baby," "No, Not Much," "Sixteen Tons," "Chain Gang," "Perfidia," "Cry," "Heart and Soul," "Lady of Spain," "Scotland the Brave," "Shangri-La," "Rags to Riches," and "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing" FOREVER PLAID has won acclaim from audiences of every kind of demographic. Kids, teens, young adults and their parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. All come out smiling at this quirky off-beat tribute to the love of music, entertainment and the power of following your dream.
