Board of Directors Meeting May 30, 2006

In lieu of having a quorum for voting purposes, our meeting was considered a workshop.  Attendees included:  Rita Irwin, Christine Leird, Suzanne Terpos, Gail Burnett, Dona Beckman, Ginger Michael and GM, Loretta Geotis.

The following topics were discussed:

GM staff report was read.  A request for It’s a Scream to travel to a theatre in Sunrise, Florida was decided against.  This particular theatre may be interested in having MCT bring another show there at some time in the future.

We need to have the A/C units securely fastened to the roof and the roof will be completed shortly.  City Inspector, Bob Welch, has requested a few additional details to be addressed.

Dan Gallagher submitted a dollar amount of $266 to re-work the flats.

Agreed to call a plumber when the awful odor comes through the cinema the next time in order to trace the source.

The Pampered Palm committee is on-track.  This event is June 10 and will be “a formal affair.”

One Weekend Only concept was explained and discussed by Director, Rita Irwin.  The entire board is the committee for this event.  Terry and Christine will chair the food committee.  It will be held in October at the Key Colony City Hall for two performances.  A sit-down dinner and inter-active “Prom Reunion” is the theme.  Anyone wishing to participate will be required to choose what level of participation and era that you would like to represent and attend all the “rehearsals.”  We will be planning a lot of publicity for this one.  More to come….

We have a purchaser for seven of the fans from Chicago for $70 each.  They will be shipped upon receipt of check/credit card from buyer.

The CD player needs to be looked at to see if there is a problem with it.  Major problems occurred during It’s a Scream.

Need to check with Bob about the sound in the cinema.

Selling tickets now for MHS production of The Fantasticks and Jake’s Women.

Workshop concluded at 7:15ish.

Minutes written by Loretta Geotis for Fred Hundhammer.
