Minutes of the Board of Directors

 

The meeting was called to order by Vice President Laura Hutt at 6:00 PM

Present were Vice President, Laura Hutt, Terry McBroom, Ginger Michael, Donna Beckman, Christine Leird,  Jorg Gobel , Suzanne Craig, Suzanne Terpos, Fred Hundhammer, and Manager Loretta Goetis. 

The Agenda was approved as presented.

Minutes of the June meeting were not available and will be presented for approval at the August meeting.

Staff Report:  Manager Loretta Goetis read her report which had been emailed to all Board members.  She reported that Norma Doenecke has been hired for the box office at $8.50 per hour.   Ticket sales for Vagina Monologues have been brisk (253 at this date), she expected a sell out for the first weekend.  She also discussed our advertising for VM, including Marilyn Tempest’s recording for the Keys Radio Group.   A discussion was held about offering fruit and cheese along with the cookies at the VM concessions, it was unanimously approved.  The Board appreciated Loretta’s comprehensive report which is attached to these minutes.  

New Committee Assignments:  The Committee assignments by President Rita Irwin were presented to the Board and are attached to these minutes. 

Committee Reports:

Finance:   No report

VP  of Production:

1.      Suzanne Craig motions and Terry McBroome seconds approval of the “It’s a Scream” as the Spring Show.  Motion unanimously carried. 

2.      Ginger Michael motions and Suzanne Craig seconds approval of Jorg  Gobel as Director and Hermann Staib as Producer of “It’s a Scream”.   Motion unanimously carried. 

3.      VP Hart sent an email, which is attached to theses minutes, reminding all MCT members of the procedure to schedule all events (meetings, rehearsals, rentals) with the VP of Production in coordination with the GM. 

4.      Audition Packets for all shows will be available August 15.

5.       Producer/Director meeting TBA.

6.      August Dance Workshop (Men’s) will meet every Tuesday  and Thursday 7PM during August at MCT. The women have been working with Suzanne and will continue during August.    

Individual Producers/Directors Report:  Ginger Michael reported Auditions for OWO were scheduled for August 13th and 14th.  Final auditions on Sept. 11th PM

Building:  Report by Ron Ferguson was emailed to Board Members and is attached to these minutes.  He reported on the changes made in the movie theater, and the ongoing discussions to replace the old speakers.  He also stated installation of  the new floor in the Producers room would begin on August 14th.
