“SNOWBIRD” VOLUNTEER TRAINING AT MARATHON COMMUNITY THEATRE

Marathon, FL (January 14, 2008) — Marathon Community Theatre (MCT) is extending a special call to “snowbirds” who are interested in volunteering during the season.

“The training is not limited to ‘snowbirds,’ but we are seeking those who are seasonal and would like to become involved in volunteer opportunities at the theatre. There are many tasks such as ushering, concessions, ticket taking, painting, building sets, sewing or altering costumes, baking goodies, distributing flyers, cleaning and miscellaneous jobs around the theatre,” said Loretta Geotis, general manager.

A one-hour orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 16, at 4 p.m. in the theatre. If you are already a volunteer and would like to attend, please do so. Bring a friend or neighbor.

For more information about volunteer services at MCT and to RSVP for the orientation, contact General Manager, Loretta Geotis, at 305-743-0408, or email: gm@marathontheater.org.
