The play is directed by Rita Irwin, Assistant Director is Ann Hart and the Producer is Christine Leird. The Smell of the Kill is a devilish comedy that will evoke bursts of laughter from beginning to end. Three delicious, malicious wives and three unloving husbands, each couple with their own “baggage,” gather for their monthly dinner get-together at one of the couple’s homes. Embezzlement, stalking and another woman prompt the women to a very lively and energetic discussion in the kitchen while the men are “playing golf” in the dining room. The all-local cast maintains a pace that will keep you on your toes. The Smell of the Kill opens Thursday, January 10 and runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through February 2. One Sunday matinee is scheduled for January 27 beginning at 3 p.m. All evening performances begin promptly at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $18 and reservations are recommended. Three-show season packages are still available for $54 each. An opening night party will be held immediately following the January 10 performance. Mingle with the cast and enjoy free snacks and a cash bar. Box office is open 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays on performance dates. Box office number is 305-743-0994. The beautiful set for The Smell of the Kill is sponsored by Marathon Home Depot. For more information, contact Loretta Geotis at 743-0408 or by email at: gm@marathontheater.org.
