Me and My Girl will take the stage on Thursday, March 6, and offer performances every Thursday through Saturday evenings through April 5, 2008. One Sunday matinee is scheduled for March 16 at 3:00 p.m. All evening performances begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. The Florida Keys Watercolor Society will host their 26th Annual Judged Exhibition in the theatre gallery during the run of Me And My Girl. All art is local and will be for sale with 20% of the proceeds benefiting MCT. Me and My Girl is a British comedy set in the 1930s and features such songs as Once You Lose Your Heart, Love Makes the World Go Round, Leaning on a Lamp-Post as well as Me and My Girl and many others. Fred Hundhammer is director; Riet Steinmetz, producer; Kathryn Rummery, musical director; and Jackie O’Neil, choreographer. The cast is filled to overflowing with local friends, neighbors and co-workers from Marathon and the surrounding area. Tickets are on sale now for $24 and reservations are recommended. Groups are welcome and encouraged. An opening night party will be held immediately following the March 6 performance. Mingle with the cast and enjoy free snacks and a cash bar.
