MARATHON COMMUNITY THEATRE HOLDS OPEN AUDITIONS

Marathon, FL (September 3, 2008, 2008) Marathon Community Theatre (MCT) open auditions for the 2008-2009 season are scheduled for Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14 at the theatre located at 5101 Overseas Highway in Marathon, next to the cinema.

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. for musical auditions on both Saturday and Sunday. All participants interested in auditioning for the musical will be seen during the morning. Script-reading auditions will be held in the afternoon. Registration for script-reading is from 12 to 1 p.m. All reading participants will be auditioned from 1 to 4 p.m.

"Audition days are great fun," said general manager, Loretta Geotis. "All four productions scheduled for the season will be cast during these two days and no prior experience is necessary." According to Geotis, "Some of our most memorable talent in recent years has come from people who have never before been on-stage."

Audition packets containing a synopsis of each play, information about the characters, age ranges, and other requirements are available now. Packets may be picked up at the box office window Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or downloaded from our website at www.marathontheater.org.
