MARATHON COMMUNITY THEATRE AUDITIONING FOR ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

Marathon, FL (July 31, 2008) - Marathon Community Theatre (MCT) will hold auditions for the annual fundraiser, known as One Weekend Only, at the theatre on Saturday, August 16 from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. One Weekend Only is scheduled for Friday, October 17 & Saturday, October 18.

This year's theme is "The Best Little Rockin' Hillbillies in the Keys." "We are looking for locals who can sing or dance, deliver "Hee-Haw-type" one-line jokes or participate in comedy skits," said Kathryn Rummery, the show's director. Square dance classes are currently in session in preparation for the show and a list of songs to be performed is available at the theatre or online. No prior experience is necessary.

Open auditions for all productions for the 2008-2009 season are scheduled for Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14.
