MARATHON COMMUNITY THEATRE FEATURES ARTISTS IN PARADISE GALLERY
Marathon, FL (October 24, 2007) — Marathon, FL (November 20, 2007) — Marathon Community Theatre (MCT) is well-known for featuring local artists during season productions. This season is no different. Currently, during the run of California Suite, Artists in Paradise Gallery in Big Pine Key is displaying a beautiful selection of their work at MCT.

The artwork is created by all local artists and is for sale prior to show time and during intermissions. In conjunction with ‘artists working with the arts,’ 20% of all proceeds go to MCT. “I love working with our local artists from various galleries throughout the Keys,” said Loretta Geotis, MCT’s General Manager. “It works very well for both parties in that the artists have an opportunity to display their work outside their own gallery where it can be seen by several hundred theatre patrons. It also dresses up our theatre gallery beautifully.”

Anyone interested in viewing the art or purchasing work from the display can contact Loretta at the theatre or come see California Suite. The production runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through December 8.
